For the exchange of information, resources and the available data, including the network, such as typewriter or application software of any kind as well as allow direct communication between users

Types of Networks:

1 - LAN (Local Area Network)
networks are used to cover the limited and small places such as the home or office.

LAN advantages:
- Limited space such as a school or university or acompany.
- Transmission speed because the distance between the devices short.
- Used by a limited number of users.

2 - MAN: ( Metropolitan Area Network)
you connect multiple LAN networks with each other to achieve a wireless network between cities.And used ingovernment buildings, hospitals and large companiesthat have branches spaced.
MAN advantages:
-Stretch between the cities.
-Limited transmission.
-Speed for long distances betweendifferent units.
-Used by a large numberof users.
-This network is managed public body or agovernmental entity.3-WAN:(Wide Aera Networks)
networks is a small group networks connected to each other, and can be extended to several countries and several continents sprawling.

Advantages of Networks: You can share information and resources on the network, and this provides several 

benefits:
1 - Can post terminals are expensive, such as printers where all computers can use the same printer.
2 - You can transfer the Data or various data between users without the use of flash or CD.
3 - Can make certain programs such as central files and financial accounts, most users may need to use the same program or access to the same data together, so they can work simultaneously and without loss of time.
4 - You can make the backup process automatically and full thereby saving time and ensure that all your business safe.
In WAN networks, and information sources can be shared over a wider geographic
area, this offers a number of features:
5 - You can send and receive e-mail E-mail to and from all over the world.
6 - You can transfer files to and from partners in different locations, or access to the corporate network from home or from any where in the world.
